We all want optimal health, to be vibrant, have lots of energy, be in excellent physical and mental health, and prevent disease and aging. But how do we do this?

In this public talk learn that optimal health is having enough molecules and nutrients to run the body properly, for growth, maintenance and repair, and to help prevent health issues. The problem is even if you think you eat all the right foods, you are most likely not getting all the nutrients your body needs from your food. With less nutrients in the soil, with increased levels of stress, and with our environment and food system being exposed to more and more toxins and chemicals then even, there is an even greater need for nutrients in our bodies for everyone. You will be engaged by the foundations of getting “the right molecules from the right nutrients” to get healthy and stay healthy.

The material shared by Paul Demeda, CNP, ROHP in this Open House lecture, is part of the Nutrition & Health: The Fundamentals course at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN). Nutrition & Health: The Fundamentals and 18 other courses, make up the full curriculum required to obtain a Diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition and earn the exclusive designation of Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP). IHN has four campuses across Canada located in Toronto, Mississauga, Vancouver and Ottawa.

IHN’s Nutrition & Health: The Fundamentals, course description: An introduction to the principles of nutrition as they relate to health and to the prevention of disease. This course provides a framework for the study of the basics of nutrition including; micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), the energy-yielding nutrients (Carbohydrates, Lipids and Proteins), metabolism, digestion, absorption and energy balance. This course will also look at lipids in detail: their functions, classification, dietary requirements, digestion & absorption, metabolism and links to the major fatal diseases, heart disease and cancer.

    God bless Dr Agbonifo for his marvellous work in my life, I was diagnosed of HERPES since 2014 and I was taking my medications, I wasn’t satisfied i needed to get the HERPES out of my system, I searched about some possible cure for HERPES i saw a comment about Dr Agbonifo ,how he cured HERPES with his herbal medicine, I contacted him and he guided me.     And then he claims fish oils are beneficial…and you need to get Vitamin A from animal products… Please do not fall for this people, it’s misinformation funded by meat and dairy industries. I would have expected more from IHN.

    This video is a very good overview of what is needed for a healthy lifestyle. Watch it and make your own determination. Only through education will you be able to take self-responsible for your own health.

    Good morning, I am interested in using tissue salts to help my family but have read so much negativity online about it as only being a placebo effect medicine. I have a 200c kit from a homeopathic practitioner that we’ve stopped using but have no idea what to do with it.

    I was taking this seriously until he said butter was a good fat. Also he mentions olive oil. Oil, in any form, even the vegetable oils, are not meant to be put into the human body. Good fats are avocados and nuts, chia seeds, and flax seeds. Butter…good god.
