MUST READ BOOKS – INDIAN NUTRITION, DIETETICS & FOOD SCIENCE

In many of my live sessions on my YouTube channel We R Stupid, I have consistently asked all my viewers and clients in India, to study nutrition from the Indian perspective. I mostly refer to many amazing Indian textbooks on nutrition and believe me they are as good as their international counterparts. But the best thing is that, you get to study nutrition from the perspective of the Indian diet, which is the most important but extremely neglected information.

Just like other things, we Indians have an innate attachment to anything western,even if it is of inferior quality. We always think, that is it is international, it would be automatically better. But, this is far from the truth. We should evaluate and analyze each thing individually, not based on our preconceived perceptions.

The best part about Indian textbooks is not just the good content, but the extremely affordable price, as compared to international books, which may cost abomb, sometimes as much as eight to twelve thousand for a single book.

    So so so glad seeing you recommend these books. I have been following you religiously but felt bad when you very often addressed dietitians stupid, but despite studying such books our younger generation don’t follow once they are out of college.
    I studied these books back in 1993 and have an updated copy of these texts. They see so good that anyone can follow it.
    Thank you for encouraging people to read and learn from these books rather than relying on those who have read these books only for marks to get out of college.

    sir as a complete beginner, if i just train for strength with full intensity and of course i will get strength and develop some muscle because im a beginner and then i hit plateau, so do i have to then do muscle size training so that after i can again do my strength, and if not how do i go about my strength training after hitting a plateau as a beginner

    With respect Sir content is good . Nobody would provide us so much review of such books at free of cost .
    But your voice should be a little louder .
    Sir I was watching one of your old video on squatt . You recommended it as a very good exercise and I agree it too. But I have osteo–arthritis at my right knee ( very early stage ) Now can I perform squatt and if full squatt gives me pain then should i do half squatt( thigh parallel with ground ). Does squatting make osteo
    arthritis worse or it blocks the progression because osteo-arthritis itself is a progressively degenerative disease . By the way I use Indian style bathroom every morning and when sitting I feel little pain( tolerable ) in my right knee .PLEASE REPLY , BUT DON’T KILL YOUR SLEEP FOR THAT .
